When I first started doing photography, I never really thought much about headshots. I was in the wedding excitement and photographing some families that I knew. Over time, I began to realize how powerful a headshot is for an individual or a brand or a business entity. As a result, I began to offer headshot photography and I began to really enjoy it. I’ve worked with actors, business executives, models, entrepreneurs, musicians, etc. It is fun to learn the personality of the person or brand and bring a creative expression to the client. Nowdays, I really enjoy doing headshots. Some people just need 1 good shot, while others need a collection of images. Regardless, you and your company need to look good, and I’d like to help with that.
There are some options when it comes to headshots. We can do a studio setup with your typical clean background or we can aim to do your headshot in the environment that you or your team work and thrive in. I call these environmental shots. Using your environment as the backdrop gives a unique and creative viewpoint to your brand. In addition, I’m also happy to offer professional group shots to your business.
Let’s start with some samples of my favorite type of headshot: the environmental shot
Next is the studio headshot. With a studio setup we can have much greater control of the light that hits the subject, which allows some very precise options as far as the finished product. My business and corporate clients have found that it is very helpful for me to come to their businesses to photograph their employees. I have a mobile backdrop setup that takes about 15 minutes to set up and I can photograph all of your employees without them having to leave their desk (aka productivity) for an extended period.
Lastly, I’ll mention the corporate or professional group shots. Not everyone needs this, but those that do need something more than a quick photo of their people at a company picnic. They need something that is on brand and well composed
