Jessica and Jorge are from Texas and planned a destination wedding that we were lucky to be a part of. They love the rolling topography in the Ozark Mountains and chose Northwest Arkansas for their engagement session and wedding celebration. We may be bias, but we think it was an excellent choice!
For the engagement session, we highlighted the stunning backdrop of the Buffalo National River, along with its abandoned homesteads. Despite the trees being dormant, we were able to capture some gorgeous color in their images. We were also able to capture the adventurous spirits that they shared together. Not all couples are willing to trek through the woods to get that perfect shot.
One of the reasons we love adding in the engagement shoot with our couples is to get to know them before the ceremony. Sharing this experience with Jessica and Jorge gave us all an opportunity to bond.
Their wedding day was perfect. Jessica and Jorge chose to have the ceremony at the Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista, AR and the reception at Avondale Chapel in Bentonville, AR. Glass chapels have a certain elegance about them, which matched what Jessica had dreamed of for her wedding. The combination of light and greenery was a dream to work with! It helped that Jorge looked pretty dapper in his tux next to Jessica in her stunning dress. It all came together so perfectly.
One of the best parts of being a destination wedding photographer is that we get to meet couples that we would never have the opportunity to meet otherwise. For that day, evening, or hour we become part of the family/friends and we’re genuinely excited and happy for that couple. Congrats, Jessica and Jorge, you two were stunning!
