One of my favorite and most frequent venues is Big Cedar Lodge. I love it for a number of reasons, but one of my favorite aspects is that most of my Big Cedar couples are destination weddings. I’m always meeting people from different parts of the US. Hearing their stories about how they met and what life is like for them where they fell in love is fascinating and perhaps a little magical, and serves as a great springboard into documenting their wedding day. Cristi and Quincy are a perfect example. They live in extreme southern Louisiana – a land vastly different from rocky, hilly Missouri. These two cultivated their love while bass fishing together in the bayous of the Louisiana boot. They talk a little different than me, eat different foods and are incredibly hospitable. I greatly photographing their wedding celebration and hearing their stories about how they met. Thank you Cristi and Quincy, and thank you for the opportunity to work for you. C’mon back sometime and let’s go fishing!
